Trip-out on epic journey through the mystical dimension of chance. Travel solo, with a friend or in an unbreakable group, as you battle through Seven Layers of The God of Chance's ethereal colosseum––The plink! of his magical coin stirs discord in the hearts of even the stoutest souls.
How to play:
Trippers embark into the Seven Layers of Chance, teaming up to battle against all Odds.
Odds are illustrated by dice, and each Layer you journey through increases the amount of Odds you must roll.
Layer 1 = 4 six-sided Odds
Layer 2 = +1 six-sided Odd
Layer 3 = +1 twelve-sided Odd
Layer 4 = +1 eight-sided Odd
Layer 5 = +1 twenty-sided Odd
Layer 6 = +1 twenty-sided Odd
How to play (continued):
Each Layer, you must roll all dice until they are showing the same number. Each Tripper's turn goes in 3 phases:
Ættestüp (ah-teh-shtoop) Tripper drops all Odds (dice) into the colesseum while saying 'Ættestüp!' aloud. Pick the number you want based on the way the Odds have fallen
Move the Odds you've chosen to one side of the colosseum, and pick up the remaining, unmatching Odds. One-by-one, toss the Odds into the colosseum being careful not to knock over your chosen odds. You may hit them off each other to change your fate and match the numbers
Last roll, Casserole! Tripper says this phrase aloud and proceeds to throw remaining odds one-by-one in hopes of matching remaining numbers.
The Layers
Layer 1 is played without any buffs, and all Odds must have the same number face up
Layer 2 is played the same
Layer 3 gains a free roll if only one Odd remains unmatched at the end of Last roll, Casserole!
Layer 4 gains a free roll if two Odds are unmatched at the end of Last roll, Casserole! Both Odds are thrown at the same time, and another free roll is earned if one number matches
The Layers (continued)
Layer 5 gains a free roll if three Odds are unmatched. A tripiddy is given this round which may be used by the Tripper who is rolling Odds
What is a tripiddy? The ultimate blessing! Calling 'Tripiddy!' means you have a 50/50 chance to roll remaining Odds as if it's another free roll. Have the other Tripper flip a coin, and if you call heads-or-tails correctly you earn a free roll
Layer 6 earns a second tripiddy which can be used on the same turn, or saved for another Tripper. Tripiddies are used up until the next turn of the user comes around
Misunderstood and often judged, if not by himself first, this lesser-devil has a kind, black heart inside his rotting frame.
An evil succubus who seeks to steal the life force of those who fail to best her––Quince was her first victim.
"Three parts gnome, and three parts pixie; that's me! I'm Sixie!"
Sixie is neither good nor bad, but his competitive nature will have you rolling.
It's rumoured that Dudley never learned to count, but his charm exceeds his brains to a truly delightful extent.
Everyone loves to hate Dudley.
"Drop to your knees, it's Statisticles! You don't have a chance... statistically"
Guarding the antechamber Layer of the ethereal colosseum, Statisticles is equal part brute and statistician.
Guarding the gate to the Astral Realm, rests the immobile and eternal God of Chance.
This demi-god's powers are not in strength, wit or charm, but unfiltered, raw energy. Chance offers you the final blessing––a second trippidy. Though he warns that even victory falls privy to a coin flip.
Metres stand between you and victory, and the toss of a coin that will decide your fate.
